Cookie Policy

Last updated: September 22, 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how Timeless Travels by Holly ("we," "us," or "our") uses cookies and similar technologies on timelesstravelsbyholly.com. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.

What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They help the site work properly, remember your preferences, and understand how visitors use the site. Some cookies are set by us, and some are set by third-party services we use, such as our website platform and advertising partners. "Similar technologies" include pixels and local storage that work in comparable ways.

The types of cookies we use

Strictly necessary cookies keep the website secure and working. These cannot be switched off. Our website runs on Squarespace, which sets essential cookies such as:

  • Crumb — helps protect against cross-site request forgery (security).

  • _ssid — remembers your device for fraud prevention (lasts up to 4 years).

  • RecentRedirect — prevents redirect loops that could harm the site (lasts about 30 minutes).

  • ss_performancecookiesAllowed and ss_marketingcookiesAllowed — remember your cookie choices (last about 30 days).

Analytics and performance cookies help us understand how visitors find and use our site so we can improve it. These are optional. Squarespace sets:

  • ss_cid, ss_cvr — identify unique visitors and track their sessions (last up to 2 years).

  • ss_cvisit, ss_cvt — track the current session (last about 30 minutes).

  • ss_cpvisit — tracks visits over time (lasts up to 2 years).

Marketing cookies help us measure our advertising and show relevant ads on social media. These are optional and include:

  • _fbp — set by the Meta (Facebook and Instagram) Pixel to measure the performance of our ads and show you relevant content. Set only if you accept marketing cookies; typically lasts up to about three months.

If we add other tools over time — such as additional analytics or email tracking — we will update this policy to reflect them.

Third-party cookies

Some cookies are placed by third-party services rather than by us directly:

  • Squarespace — our website platform, which sets the essential and analytics cookies above. See Squarespace’s cookie information for details.

  • Meta (Facebook / Instagram) — sets advertising cookies when marketing cookies are accepted, so we can measure and improve our ads. See Meta’s cookie and data policies for details.

  • Our email provider — if you open or click links in emails we send, our email tool may record that activity to help us understand what our subscribers find useful.

We do not control third-party cookies. Please review the relevant provider’s own privacy and cookie notices for more information.

How to manage your cookies

When you first visit our site, our cookie banner lets you accept or restrict non-essential (analytics and marketing) cookies. You can change your choice at any time through the banner or the cookie settings on our site.

You can also manage or delete cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers let you block or remove cookies and warn you before one is set — check your browser’s help pages for how. Please note that blocking essential cookies may stop parts of the site from working properly, and restricting analytics cookies means some visitor data will be incomplete.

To opt out of interest-based advertising more broadly, you can also adjust your ad preferences within Facebook and Instagram, or use industry opt-out tools such as the Digital Advertising Alliance (optout.aboutads.info) and the European equivalent (youronlinechoices.eu).

Changes to this policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date above.
